Go Gentle.

So, I’ve finally finished my Nano novel! HURRAH! I wrote 50,000 words of it in a month – it took me nearly as long to write the last fifteen. I think I was a bit shell-shocked after the craziness that was November and I decided to go easy on myself. Whatever I got done, and whenever I got it done, was fine.

I expect early 2013 to be busy, writing-wise, with edits for Writing Clementine, and I’ll have the Beaconsfield Festival of Golden Words to work on as well, so things will be much more hectic. So I decided December would be a bit more gentle.

I needed some gentleness.

So I’ve just been taking things slowly, enjoying time with my darling girl and the sunshine that’s finally here. And listening to some Robbie. That helps. That always helps.

I’ll try to blog more, now that I’ve finished up on the “proper writing” stuff for the year. I’d like to make this a place that isn’t just about “gah, I forgot to blog” and “here, look, cute animal!”.  We’ll see how I go. In the meantime, I hope you get time to enjoy the sunshine too, and a hug with someone who means the world to you.

This is just a gratuitous Robbie shot. Because Robbie.
